In need of a grooming sesh today? You might want to consider these neighborhood concept barbershops. They often offer more than just a cut. In most of these concept shops, you get a detailed consultation + haircut and shave, while you enjoy your Johnnie or a shot of single malt over ice.
We put up a quick list of concept barbershops for your next haircut!
Felipe & Sons
One of the first and the popular now is Felipe & Sons. It’s a barberdashery, a combo of a barber shop and a haberdashery, where you can get both a haircut and a bespoke suit.
The Thirsty Barber
Another concept from the guys at Felipe & Sons, Thirsty Barber has gone way extra by adding a hidden bar – complete with food & drinks. The shop is almost hidden, borrowing the concept of speakeasy bars during the prohibition era, only it offers cut and shave.

One of the hidden gems of Legaspi Village in Makati is this gent’s lair, John Barbers. They offer the usual cuts, shaves and more! Their mirrors turn into TV, quite handy for basketball or soccer games. One of our favorites: they offer an hourly use of shower and private powder room if you need to freshen up or rest in the middle of the city.
This barbershop drew a slant on the usual euro-themes concept barbershops around the metro. Talas Manileno, founded by actor Jericho Rosales, highlights Filipino barbero culture offering Tasa (cut), Ahit (shave) and Pisil (massage). They also offer their own, Pinoy pomada.
Situated inside Ayala Center in Makati, Hombre is very accessible to usuals and first-timers. Compared to other concept shops, Hombre is bright, airy and minimalist – offering a clean and quiet relaxing vibe. You can also get a shot or two of your fave whiskey while you get your hair cut.
