New Drops: Ariana Grande Releases ‘Thank U, Next’

Oh, how we wish we could write a song after a breakup, instead of sobbing at 3am.

Ariana yet again shook the twitterverse as she drops her first single on her new album, Thank U, Next.

Coming from a split with Pete Davidson – this could be the perfect post-breakup song. But hey, it isn’t a diss track. As Ariana tweets, “no drags, no shade, just love…”

On the first verse, Ariana does a shoutout to all her exes, from Big Sean to Pete Davidson. And there’s nothing negative (like how we can expect an ex song from Taytay). This one’s just pure gratitude.

Thought I’d end up with Sean,

but it wasn’t a match

Wrote some songs about Ricky

now I listen and laugh

Even almost got married,m

and for Pete, I’m so thankful

Wish I could say,

‘Thank you’ to Malcolm

’cause he was an angel,

‘Thank U, Next’ is a song for our exes – those who made us smile and cry. For them we are better and stronger. As Ariana’s new song goes: “one taught me love, one taught me patient, and one taught me pain. Now, I’m so amazing!”
