Manila, PH – Your holiday selfies are about to get even better as Vivo announces V5 with 20-megapixel Moonlight front-facing camera.
The V5 is an all-metal unibody smartphone that feels light and premium on the hand. The 5.5-inch display is vibrant and the size on the device feels manageable given my slightly smaller hand.
It does feel light and smaller, maybe this is because I’m used to fiddling with my iPhone 6 Plus. The smaller profile of the V5 is much more enjoyable and manageable for me.
The display is 1280×720 HD with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood is an octa-core processor from MediaTek running at 1.5GHz with 4GB of RAM and a base storage of 32GB expandable via microSD up to 128GB.
Your Perfect Selfies
The V5 is an innovation in itself because of its 20-megapixel selfie cam – definitely a first in the world of smartphones. The front cam is equipped with a Sony IMX376 camera sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. The front of the camera also has a flash and it is called their Selfie Softlight technology – it lets you shoot selfies with a soft and radiant lighting effect to capture details in low light.
The rear camera has a 13-megapixel sensor that features phase-detect autofocus for speedy autofocus in every snap.
What to Love More
We’re sure you’re impressed with those features of the V5 but there is still more to this selfie-taking beast that you might want to know.
Hi-Fi audio chip. You can listen to premium sounding sound – one that sounds like your in the studio as your favorite artist performs that one song.
FunTouch OS 2.6. The newest iteration of Vivo’s operating system based on Android Marshmallow. It’s faster and snappier so you can perform tasks everyday in just a flash.
Smart Split 2.0. Wish you could split what’s happening in your screen so you can actually multitask? Smart Split exactly does that and does it intelligently. It’s part of the Fun Touch OS improvement and is definitely something to love about the V5.
For the Holidays
The Vivo V5 is definitely a wishlist-worthy item if you are looking to upgrade your smartphone this holiday season. Priced at 12,990, this mid-range device is a steal that won’t break the bank.
