Affordable luxury brand Michael Kors has recently celebrated the re-opening of its flagship store in Greenbelt 5, Makati with a new collection.
As the colder breeze come nearer, it’s time to glam up your lifestyle with the three main themes of the collection of Fall 2017:
Rich textures, high-shine hardware and a natural palette of camel, chocolate, and gold combine for an autumnal delivery with a casual edge.
‘80s influences and masculine-femme mix capture a rock n’ roll vibe in this luxe delivery. Heavy silver-tone hardware and flashes of the season’s new purple hue embolden the sleek palette of black, white and gray.
Elegant with an inherent edge, this predominantly noir delivery is heightened by high-shine silver accents and pops of cobalt blue.
The New York handbag and accessories retailer is distributed in the Philippines by Stores Specialists Inc. Michael Kors is located at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street Central, Greenbelt 5, Newport Mall, Power Plant Mall, Rustan’s Makati and Shangri-La Plaza Mall. Leather-good luxury house Tod’s returns to nature for its Fall – Winter Collection 2017. Inspired by the cold outdoors and the quiet elegance of nature in winter, the collection is an embodiment of every bit of what Tod’s is all about – modern, refined, yet cheerful.
Designed for outdoors, the collection is sleek, elegant, and contemporary. The timelessness of leather, quilts, and Tod’s signature double T are all well incorporated with trendy must-haves such as the creepers and multi- strap bags. On the other hand, the iconic Tod’s gomminos are now available in more styles and colors.

Although Longchamp’s best-selling tote, Le Pliage, is nothing but an embodiment of easy, carefree luxury, the design aesthetic of the famed French brand has always been inspired by the splendor, independence, and boldness of modern women.
For this season’s collection, Sophie Delafontaine took the effortless, carefree kind of girl narrative out of the picture and instead, replaced her with a woman who takes work and fun very seriously. From the bold, gorgeous hues, sophisticated fabrics, and modern, structured designs, we could probably say that the Longchamp brand is now parisianing towards the unabashed ownership of sensuality and womanhood.

Longchamp is available in Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shangri-La, Rustan’s Ayala Cebu, and Greenbelt 5.
Homegrown brand, Plains & Prints, is no stranger to collaborations. In 2012, the leading purveyor of style collaborated with designers Rhett Eala and Randy Ortiz for a romantic capsule collection. Since 2013, multi-talented Anne Curtis is the face of Plains & Prints campaigns until now. And just last year, the brand partnered with five renowned couturiers including Rhett Eala, Rajo Laurel, Randy Ortiz, Maureen Disini, and Vania Romoff, to celebrate its 21st anniversary with ICanServe Foundation.
Perhaps the key takeaway to these various partnerships is that whatever collaboration Plains & Prints had in the past and in the present, the underlying message of these partnerships is simple: celebrate all kinds of women with easy, elegant styles that will complement their dynamic lives.
And this year’s collaboration is no different.
Cebu-based couturier Vania Romoff returns to Plains & Prints with a 15-piece collection that bears the young designer’s romantic signatures and stylish flair. From casual dresses to romantic blouses and trousers, the capsule collection carries elements of local flora and ikat patterns that inspired Romoff during the creative process.

The capsule collection will be available in all Plains & Prints stores nationwide starting July 15. For more information, visit www.plainsandprints.com.
Gone are the days when business only means profit. In the Era of Wokeness, musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs alike are now more involved in purposeful activities that are here to fight injustice, discrimination, and poverty. And while there are already a number of social enterprises that have gone that route long before the word ‘woke’ came to light, our problem with plastic bottles has never ceased.
Cue in Hope in a Bottle, a social business organized by Ms. Medved-Po that is on a mission to build public school classrooms nationwide. Through upcycling, Hope in a Bottle turns recycled plastic waste to eco-bricks, which are then used as hollow blocks alternative to build classrooms. So far, Hope in a Bottle has already built 37 public classrooms nationwide. It is no small feat but a reminder that a flicker of hope can change lives.
Hope in a Shirt
Last Christmas, Ms. Nanette gifted her good friend with no ordinary shirts – custom made printed shirts made from 100% recycled bottles. Little did she know that this will be the next classroom building initiative of Hope in a Bottle.
Hope in a Shirt is made from 11 recycled plastic bottles that are turned into fabric through a special technology. And just like any other shirts made from ordinary fabrics, Hope in a Shirt is also as comfy and as soft as them.
100% Solenn Art
To further raise awareness, HOPE collaborated with none other than Solenn Heusaff to create designs exclusive to the Hope in a Shirt collection. So with a swish of her brush and stroke of her pencil, three unique, artsy, and stylish designs are born out of Solenn’s artistic hands.
To make it more exclusive, there will only be 200 pieces of #SolennArtXHOPE shirts.
Hope Vendo Caravan
Inspired by the latest New York fashion week, the Hope in a Shirt collection will be launched in special Hope-branded vending machines around the metro. The Hope vendo will pop up in three surprise locations and for only 2 to 3 days each. The first one is at the G/F of Net Park Building in Bonifacio Global City and will be there only until May 31. The 2 remaining locations will be announced through HOPE’s social media accounts.
But for those who will miss their chance to shop through the Hope vendo machines, the Hope in a Shirt will be exclusively available in ZALORA shortly afterward.
100% of the profit from Hope in the Shirt will be devoted to building public classrooms nationwide. To get to know more about Hope in a Bottle, like them on Facebook (Hope in a Bottle) and follow them on Instagram (@hopeinabottle).
